WhatsApp’s multi-device feature is soon getting an update

WhatsApp’s multi-device feature allows users to use WhatsApp on 4 devices. But, users can’t use the same WhatsApp on a different phone.

Well, this feature is a part of WhatsApp for a while. WhatsApp users can use WhatsApp on the Desktop without any third-party app through the WhatsApp web. For using WhatsApp on a desktop, open WhatsApp web in your browser, then scan the QR code from the WhatsApp app on your phone. For doing so, open WhatsApp on your phone, click on the three-dot menu and select ‘linked devices’.

Now, WhatsApp is bringing an update which will let you use WhatsApp on another smartphone as well. Users will be able to use WhatsApp over two smartphones. WhatsApp’s multi-device feature is useful for many and many people wanted this update.

According to WABetainfo reports, in the upcoming WhatsApp update, multi-device 2.0 will be introduced. This feature is available to some beta users in the Android version 2.22.15.1. Linking another smartphone would be available in the companion mode on WhatsApp. Surprisingly, this time you will not need an active internet connection on the primary phone for sending messages from the linked phone.

This feature will work the same as the current multi-device feature works. When users open WhatsApp on the WhatsApp web, the app copies chats and data securely. And this process takes a little time. Similarly, in companion mode as well, at the time of linking to another device, WhatsApp will take time.

However, the official release of this feature is not confirmed yet. But, we expect WhatsApp to soon roll out this pretty worthwhile feature.
