This month another OnePlus phone that has been released is–the OnePlus 10T 5G. This phone isn’t a flagship phone but yet in rumours for days. The sale of this phone is starting on August 16, 2022.
It has two colour options available and has three variants in terms of RAM and internal storage. The base variant has an 8 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage and costs Rs.49,999. The second variant has 12 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage and is priced at Rs.54,999. And the third variant has 16 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage available for Rs.55,999.

Inside the box
Well, the OnePlus 10T box contains all that we get with other OnePlus phones. Although the box size is getting smaller, the company is still providing all that its customers need. The phone comes with an Oppo 160W super VOOC charger. Nowadays not every company provides chargers so it’s rare. And it also has 45W USB-PD charging support. Other, than legalities and manual, the box also carries a silicon cover.
Design
The OnePlus 10T has a glass rear, probably making it a bit heavier. The design is similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. The back panel is designed in a way that it will have no smudges and fingerprints. For the first time, the company has provided a rocky texture at the back panel in its Moonstone black variant.
The other colour variant is Jade Green. It has a sleek glass finish. Even if it got smudges, they could be cleaned off in one wipe. The frame is made of plastic giving it a perfect premium phone look just because of the colour combinations.
For some time, OnePlus has removed the alert slider it had provided in the previous phones. In the OnePlus 10T, there’s a power button on the right and a volume slider on the left. As OnePlus is making its phone better and needs more space inside, therefore it has removed the alert slider.
The top of the phone features a loudspeaker and a microphone. While the bottom has dedicated space for a SIM tray, another loudspeaker, microphone and charging port. The bezels are very thin, and the gorilla glass 5 screen protection is being used in this phone. It has a single punch hole for the front camera in the middle.
Well, the overall design of the phone is unique and premium. The glass back and texture have elevated it to the next level in terms of look.
Display
Coming up on its display, this phone has a 6.67 inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is quite better. From brightness and saturation to viewing angles, everything is just perfect. In terms of display, the phone has performed exceptionally well. The refresh rate can be reduced manually, from 120Hz to 90Hz or 60Hz. Or it sometimes reduces automatically in certain apps.
The OnePlus 10T supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG content. The camera in the middle might interrupt proper display as it is more noticeable. This phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor that is located at the bottom. It is easier to unlock the phone while holding it from the bottom but might be difficult if you hold the phone from the middle.
Camera
OnePlus phones are popular because of many reasons including their amazing cameras. This time OnePlus has tuned up the camera itself. It means there’s no Hasselblad sign on the camera like the OnePlus 10 Pro had.
The OnePlus 10T 5G has a triple rear camera setup. It features a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Whereas for taking super selfies this phone has a 16MP front camera. The OnePlus 10T’s camera packs so many features including night mode, pro mode, slow-mo, time-lapse, dual view video, and a few more.
It also has an image stabilization option, which lets you record more stabilized video. But, the Movie feature that is available in the camera app, can record 4K videos only with 30fps.
The image quality of pictures taken in daylight was impressive. The photos were detailed, saturated and sharpen as well. But, some colours appeared slightly different from the actual ones including red and green. For more saturation, you can also turn on the AI feature. It probably delivers a better-saturated image, that often looks great.
Besides these features, the camera also has a separate 50MP option. It clicks pictures in the full resolution and the size of the images is larger than the normal ones.
While, videos can be recorded in 720p, 1080p, and 4K at 30fps and 60fps. The 4K video quality is great, the camera delivers proper brightness, colours, and dynamic range.
Battery and performance
The OnePlus 10T 5G has a 4500 mAh battery with 150W fast charging support. This OnePlus phone has a few inbuilt features that keep a check on the battery’s health and resist heat generation. The most amazing thing about the battery of this phone is, that it can charge from 0 to 100% in just 19 minutes.
The OnePlus 10T 5G runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1. The company also provides four years of security updates and three Android version updates with this phone.
Now, finally talking about the processor. So, this phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This phone comes in three variants in terms of RAM and internal storage; 8 GB+128 GB, 12 GB+256 GB and 16 GB+256 GB.
The overall gaming performance of the phone is good. Also, the phone is good at resisting heat while playing games.

The OnePlus 10T 5G has a premium design. It has so many impressive and worth praising features. The display is excellent with uniform colours, brightness and perfect saturation. Also, the primary camera of this phone is very much capable of delivering amazing picture quality. And lastly, the battery, its 150W fast charging support is also a noticeable feature in this phone. The phone is legging behind for having a plastic frame with no IP rating, absence of an alert slider, and no wireless charging.
