Bumble
Venturing into the world of dating apps can be overwhelming, especially if you’re not exactly sure what to download. Some apps are meant for short-term relationships, while others encourage getting to know each other before meeting up. Whether you’re looking to head down the aisle or for a casual fling, Bumble has got it all.
What makes this app unique is that women message men first and then they’re given 24 hours to respond. This app is entirely female-driven. It is based on the idea that women would message first, meaning they could choose a conversation starter. It gives them power to control the narrative.
You can search the app with filters, choosing who you’re interested in (men, women, or everyone), age range, and distance. You can also set advanced filters, looking for a specific height, astrology sign, educational background, and more.

Carrot Weather
This is a crazy-powerful (and privacy-conscious) weather app that delivers hilariously twisted forecasts. Carrot provides the weather with a little more…personality. If you’re OK with sarcasm, political jokes, and the occasional insult, it might be right for you. (That said, you can opt-out of Carrot’s snark by disabling its personality in Settings.) But how good is it at the weather part? Pretty great. Carrot draws its data from Dark Sky, one of meteorology’s finest forecasting services.
It is both visually appealing, highly customizable, and has oodles of info available. There is now a map available with layers that can show features like radar, storms cells and their projected directions, weather fronts (really hard to find apps that show the weather fronts on them!), A feature called cards that you can customize to show additional information that you want to see, and customizable notifications. It is one of the best apps available on the App Store and was chosen as Apple Watch app of the Year winner of 2021.

Lumafusion
LumaFusion’s slickly designed and easy-to-use interface enables you to quickly dip your toe into the non-linear art of trimming, re-ordering, and grading your video clips. You can then dive in and discover a host of powerful post-production tools lying below the surface, including Keyers, a stabilizer, graphic equalizer, and editable LumaFX tools such as kaleidoscopes.
LumaFusion is so well designed that you can shoot and edit on an iPhone while still on location and produce slick-looking shows without needing to transfer all your clips to an iPad or a Mac. By shooting and editing on the same device you will save lots of time and effort from having to transfer huge video files to another location. LumaFusion will happily edit 10-bit Dolby Vision clips from an iPhone 12 Pro, ensuring high-quality HDR productions.
It enables you to stack six simultaneous layers of video in the timeline to create complex montage sequences or multiple picture-in-picture effects. As you master the app you can dig deeper into its toolset to unleash more amazing tools.

You’ll find a library of some 1,500 exercises in Wakeout, with new packs added each week. The exercise is flexible — you can perform them sitting down, standing up, or even in bed. It’s a great, non-stressful way to get yourself in the habit of taking time to move around and stay active. So, it’s no wonder that Apple selected Wakeout from among all other apps as best and awarded it App of the Year honors for 2020.

Headspace
Good health doesn’t stop with your body. Headspace proved to be a big help in getting your mind right, especially for those of us who spent the last year in coronavirus lockdown.
The mindfulness app features guided meditations designed to calm you down, as you take a minute or two to breathe and clear your head. Even if meditation is not your thing, Headspace offers a sleep aid section that looks to put you in the right frame of mind at bedtime.
You can download Headspace for free to see a limited selection of guided meditations, but a subscription — $13/month or $70 if you sign up for a year — opens up the full library and experience. You can find many apps dedicated to mental well-being on the App Store, but I find this the best.

Giphy world: AR GIF stickers
With limited uses and a clunky design, this AR app is mostly a novelty. If you have a burning desire to put an image of a spinning taco on your cat’s head or to look like you’re sharing a glass of wine with a celebrity, this app is a winner.
To use GIPHY WORLD: AR GIFS + STICKERS, first tap “Show Me Around” to view the tutorial. Allow the app to access your camera. View the sample scene. Point your device in the direction of the scene to which you want to add GIFs or stickers. Tap Search GIFs or Search Stickers and type in the theme you want. Then choose and tap a GIF to add it to a scene, or tap and hold it to draw it in the air. Tap Share to share via text, email, or social media. It is really fun and one of the best apps on the App Store.
